Domestic Technologies (domestictechnologies.org) is an independent research site. This page describes what data the site collects from visitors, and what it does not.

What we don't collect

The site runs no analytics or tracking software of any kind. It sets no cookies for visitors. It has no accounts, logins, comments, contact form, or newsletter signup — there is nowhere on the public site to submit your name, email address, or any other personal information, because no such form exists.

Fonts and images

Typefaces are bundled and served from our own servers at build time, not loaded from Google Fonts or any other third party at runtime. Photographs are re-hosted on our own storage rather than linked directly from museum or archive websites. Neither involves a request to a third-party server when you load a page.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel, which, like any web host, processes standard server request logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) as part of serving pages and keeping the infrastructure secure. We don't access or use this data ourselves beyond what's needed to operate the site.

Changes

If what the site collects ever changes, this page will be updated to describe it accurately, with the date above revised.
